Hooked!

It is with great surprise and sadness that I can report that the Bug has found another reason to be passionate about golf!

Despite being a hopelessly poor putter, the Bug suffers from a curious fascination for the implement for the act of putting; yes, the putter!….well actually more than the putter, the putter cover, the putter grip, and even the divot tool that can come with the putter!

There are those of you that will suffer the same affliction, and will immediately recognise that the Bug has become an addict of the wheeling and dealing that occurs every day on EBAY frantically searching for a bargain on selected golf equipment. The only thing that is reassuring about this potentially very expensive pasttime is that there are a whole load of other people around the world who are doing exactly the same thing! I know this, because I have placed what I consider to be very generous bids on certain items of golf equipment and have not come close to winning!

My personal passion is for anything Scotty Cameron, and I mean anything! Oil cloths and ball markers will be enough to get me feverishly reading the desription of the product, what condition, how much, how many bids, is it real?

It is a sad state of affairs I know, but what got me completely hooked was winning the most beautiful 2006 Napa Valley Scotty putter in mint condition. It will never see the light of day, it will sit discreetly in my view at all times and will occasionally strike putts across a recently hoovered carpet, but otherwise it will be afforded the most luxurious living conditions as any putter anywhere! It is a beautiful putter, and one that I was totally unaware of before I discovered EBAY.

Rather than this purchase satisfying my desire, it has merely fuelled my curiousity and I am now on the look out for an old Scotty classic called a Coronado; had never heard of that either until my EBAY days!
